“I
AM PROUD OF YOU MUKESH”
"Culture and People".
Quick came the reply from Mukesh Verma, Regional Manager & also the General Manager at Lemon Tree hotel, Aurangabad.
I met him during my recent stay in this beautiful hotel and he was answering to my question as to "Why the Lemon Tree Group has been so successful"?
“In
the entire Indian Hotel industry we are number one in the “Great Places To
Work” survey….and we are at an overall fourth position across all
industries. 15 % of our employee strength is made up by providing equal
employment opportunities to people with Speech and Hearing Impairment. Lemon
Tree Group is a good bet for anyone who wants to grow as a professional. Growth
opportunities are aplenty” says Mukesh with so much confidence.
I fully agree with Mukesh.
Sample the growth of Mukesh for yourself…..
Mukesh joined the group in 2004 as a Guest Service Associate in their Udyog Vihar Gugaon property. He quickly rose to become the Assistant F&B Manager at Pune…..then went on to become Assistant Manager Front Office at their Indore Hotel…..was Trainee Sous Chef in Ghaziabad as well as City Centre, Gurgaon. In 2009 he was made the Executive Assistant Manager at Electronic City, Bengaluru post which he went on to become the General Manager there in 2012. He is presently the Regional Manager of this hotel wherein Lemon Tree Pune also comes under him.
"This year", continued Mukesh, "We are opening new hotels at Coimbatore, Gangtok (Sikkim), Jim Corbett Park (Uttarakhand) and Patna (Bihar). The second Lemon Tree Hotel at Pune will open next year; two massive properties are coming up in Mumbai with a large inventory of rooms....may be in 2019 or thereafter".

It is amazing that in just ten years, Lemon Tree Hotels has
already opened 40 properties. The employee ID number of Mukesh is 70, whereas
the Lemon Tree Group has more than 4000 employees as of date.
I
am very happy for Lemon Tree family. In the "Great places to work"
survey Lemon Tree was 9th (Pan India/ nationally) and second, just behind Oberoi
Group in the Hotels category. This year Lemon Tree has leapfrogged to fourth
position (incredibly amazing) and outsmarted Oberoi Group to reach the top
slot. (Remember, Oberoi Group has been adjudged as the "Best Brand in the
world" for two years consecutively).
I have stayed in as many as twenty Lemon Tree Hotels till date and I have always been impressed by their friendliness and guest intimacy. Aurangabad property exceeded my expectations. It has been an overwhelming experience indeed. All credit goes to Mukesh and his servant leadership.

(The Group has four different
brands - Lemon Tree Premier, Lemon Tree Resorts, Lemon Tree and Red
fox- all of them are flawless and unparalleled in their own right).
Mukesh is a motor buff. On Sundays, before the sun is up, he is on the road, with his bike and the members of the "Throttlers Motor Cycle Club". They hit the road by 6.00am and wind up by 11.00am after covering nearly 100 Kms. He loves travelling. He is very fond of his Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 CC bike. "Riding on Sundays is a great stress buster" chuckles Mukesh Verma.
