"EWDs DON'T GET DISTRACTED AT WORK"

"The zest to do very well in their career is very evident. They are more intelligent than the people who can speak or hear; God has blessed them with more power in their brains, which is why they are very observant; very gadget savvy; their focus is undivided; while at the shopfloor, they do not get distracted at all" opines Reginald Corbett, The General Manager, Lemon Tree Hotel, Gachibowli, Hyderabad when asked about the auspicious attributes of the EWDs (Employees With Disabilities).

This 190 room mid scale hotel presently provides employment to 13 EWDs, of this ten are Speech and Hearing Impaired, and three are Handicapped.

"Before March 2015, we will have five more EWDs joining us. Other than EWDs, we have a policy to recruit people who are from the economically and socially backward class. There are two girls from Nagaland presently working with us. Both have joined us recently" informs Reginald.

Reginald (51), having a rich experience of three decades in this industry, had joined the Lemon Tree Hotel Group in June 2012. He worked as the Resident Manager, in Lemon Tree Premier, in Hyderabad, before taking charge in this hotel as General Manager in July 2014.
