LIONS OF LEMON TREE ....10

SMILING STEWARD

You might have heard about Laughing Buddha. Today morning I met a smiling Buddha. He is none other than Deepak Kumar Mishra, the Steward working in the Citrus Cafe, in the Lemon Tree Hotel, Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

22 yr old Deepak smiles effortlessly. Spontaneous and infectious is his smile. Dimples go as an embellishment to the smile. Today morning at around 8.30am, I checked in to this hotel . As I was very hungry  I straight away proceeded to the Citrus Cafe Restaurant for my breakfast. It is here, I that I met Deepak.

As I was proceeding towards the buffet counter, he voluntarily came to help me. In sign language he asked me: shall I get you Idlis ? That is the time I realized that he is one of proud members of the EWD team of this hotel. Deepak is Speech and Hearing Impaired.

Plus two pass, Hyderabad born Deepak has worked in KFC, at Lumbini Park for nine months before joining Lemon Tree. He has been working in this hotel since Sep 2014. Cricket is his hobby. He is a good batsman.

"His grasping power is amazing. Always you see him full of enthusiasm. It is just three months, since we opened this hotel. In this short span of time, many a guests have written his name in the GSTS. One good thing I like in him is this: he never hesitates to ask for help whenever he needs the same. Says Amandeep Singh, Assitant Manager, F&B, Lemon Tree Hotel, Gachibowli.

Very efficiently he serves. Today, for my breakfast it was Deepak who  served me. Full marks to him. Flawless service.

Deepak is living with his mother and sister in Hyderabad.
