ANGELS FROM NORTH EAST INDIA........9

MINDFUL MOIYA

"If both my younger sisters are interested to work in Hospitality industry, then I will encourage them and support them for their right decision. I do feel very safe and secure in Kerala" says Moiya (23) who works as a Guest Relations Executive in Vivanta by Taj, Bekal, Kerala.

This Bachelor of Arts graduate, who has done a one year course in aviation, hails from Kohima, Nagaland. She had joined this hotel in 2011; she took leave for a year to complete her degree course and rejoined this year March.

"In five months, three guests have appreciated me; that is three guests have mentioned my name in the guest comments card" asserts Moiya, who makes it a point to be mindful at work all the time.

Kerala Paratha is one thing she likes most, other than the Kerala beef preparations.

Moiya had worked in a three star hotel in her home town, Kohima in Nagaland. From Kohima to Bekal has been a big jump for her in her career.

"Here in Taj Bekal, opportunities to Learn are aplenty. I am very fond of interacting with guests from different states of India, also from different countries".

"We have lot of recreational activities in the hotel" quips Moiya when asked about the employee engagement activities of the hotel.

Moiya's family lives in Kohima, Nagaland. Her father is a Gazetted Officer. Two brothers- one younger, the other elder, two younger sisters. Mother is a housewife.

"My mom has been a teacher in a Govt school. She applied for Voluntary retirement; presently she is the Home Minister" adds Moiya jocularly.
