FROM THE LEMON TREE PREMIER, HYDERABAD

                        ' SILENT SATURDAY' !

It is my good fortune that I had been to Citrus Café  - the culinary destination at Lemon Tree Premier, Hyderabad many a times.

What delights me the most is when I am here on a Saturday morning -  and too during the breakfast period.

They call it  ‘Silent Saturday. Because on all Saturday’s the food service at breakfast will be led  by the SHI team members ( speech and hearing impaired ) only. All  the other  stewards will help the SHI’s and support them as required.

Today morning,(06 Aug 2016) it was the turn of Khadir and Lingaiah – the two superstars at Citrus Café.

Khadir has been working in this hotel for the last four years. He is very good in expressing himself with the guests thru his sign language.

On the other hand  Lingaiah -  popularly known as Linga  is just four months old, but he impressed everybody around him by his flawless performance in food pickup from the kitchen and replenishing the same in the hot buffet.

Rajesh is yet another superstar of Citrus Cafe. He is very sharp in terms of remembering the needs of the guests - though he is just 18 months old in the system.

Bikshapathy (see his pic in the poster) who takes care of the Tea Lounge  and Rajkamal are two other superstars at Lemon Tree Premier - who always serve silently and with a heart. I am very close to both of them. Rajkamal takes care of In Room Dining.  I do respectfully bow to all the SHIs of this hotel.

Lemon tree’s business model is worth emulating – they have set a gold standard for the hospitality industry by providing employment to Employee with Disabilities  - SHI’s are part of this inspirational  program .
