QUICK FOOTED YUSUF
Kurnool born Sayyad
Yusuf (19) is deputed in the F&B Department; one of the ten SHI (Speech
and Hearing Impaired) employees working at the Lemon
Tree Hotel, Gachibowli, Hyderabad.
In three months, he has proved his capabilities
especially in the Back Area Services- whether it is cutleries, glasses,
hollowware or stainless steel items, he handles with care and promptness. At the snap of a finger he finishes the work allotted to him. Buffet pick up, for Yusuf, is the coolest
job. He is incredibly quick in service delivery. Whether it is buffet
clearance, set up or replenishment, or even table set up - he enjoys every bit of it .
Cricket and chess are his hobbies.
For Vineel
Kumar Vanapalli, Supervisor, F&B who is working with Yusuf very
closely, for the last three months, it is a real surprise how committed these
EWDs are. Yusuf is just one to name, he says. "So far, he has been focusing on the Back
area services. We are planning to depute him for attending the guests, in the
near future" says Vineel.
Vineel, who has been working at Taj Gateway, Vijayawada
for the last five years, joined Lemon Tree Hotel, Gachibowli six months back.
"I do understand most of their sign language.
Nevertheless, I have to acquire more skills on sign language
communication" says Vineel Kumar," but, luckily, all the EWDs are wedded
to their work. You instruct them clearly, allot the work, just leave it to them
to complete; the work will be completed on time".
