FROM THE CIDADE DE GOA……………2

LIKE A WELL OILED MACHINE

Anuradha Naik retired from the services of Cidade de Goa last month after serving 16 long years in the Kitchen Stewarding area. The management promptly honored her with the "Employee Of The Resort" Award. That is, she was chosen as the best employee of the quarter in  Q4' 2014.

Not over, the management gave her yet another award. She got an extension. So, it is the second innings for Anuradha now. Her journey with the Cidade family continues...

"Dish washing is a monotonous job. But, Anuradha’s perseverance is something worth mentioning" recalls Sunit Sharma, The Executive Chef, Cidade de Goa.

Now, let us have a look into Anuradha's contributions at work: She manages the dish wash area very well. She ensures that breakages are kept under control. She patiently taught the juniors to acquire the skills in the most ideal way of handling crockery, cutlery and glassware. The polishing schedule of  cutlery and hollow ware are followed up by her with unabated regularity. Chipped crockery can't escape without being noticed by her. Always she ensured that the hotel standards are never compromised. She monitors in such a way that departmental equipments never get mixed up.

Before joining Cidade de Goa, Anuradha was working in a small hotel in Goa. When her husband passed away in an accident, she was just 40. This was the turning point in her life. At that time, her association with the Cidade family was just a year old.

"Those days were very difficult. My children were small. That is the time I decided to give my best at work" says Anuradha.

But, the job at Cidade has given her ample security. She was looked after very well by the management. Today, she lives in a rented house in Goa with her two sons. Both of them are employed. Her daughter got married three years back and is blessed with a child.

Anuradha's journey continues with the Cidade family.... She will continue to work like a well oiled machine... The same way, as she has been working all these years.
