"EWDs ARE
EXCEPTIONALLY HARD WORKING"

allocated the job to them, be rest assured, it will be done. They are
exceptionally hard working. Very sincere in whatever they do" opined Nayan Jyoti Chakma (31) on the five
EWDs (Employees With Disabilities) working directly under him. Chakma, Assistant Manager, F&B
in the Lemon Tree Premier spends
most of his time in the 100 seater Multi
Cuisine Coffee shop “Citrus Café”.
Raju, Sai Kumar, Kiran, Habeebuddin and Pratap are the
five EWDs working closely with him. Mentoring, coaching, teaching, training these
five man army on the F& B Operations has been a fulfilling thing for
Chakma. Kiran can speak. All other four are Speech and Hearing Impaired. Buffet
set up, Food pick up- replenishing, clearances, overall restaurant set up are
the main duties allotted to them. Kiran will attend the guests, as he can
speak.
"Always they listen attentively. Very rarely you
will have to push them to do something" says Chakma.
Arunachal Pradesh born Chakma has an experience of around
12 years in the hotel industry. For the last four and a half years, he has been
with Lemon Tree Hotels. Married to a Mizoram girl Roma Chakma. Blessed with one year old daughter Haley.
