FROM THE WESTIN GURGAON, NEW DELHI…..YCI HEROES…………..2

"IN  WESTIN  GURGAON, I  DO  LEARN  A  LOT"

"Oh, after serving them I felt so tired" says Raja Rosario, (18) the other YCI hero in Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi. He was sharing with me his experience in the Seasonal Tastes, the multi cuisine restaurant of this hotel. It was a table of all women guests. Fifteen of them. Very demanding they were. The restaurant was utterly full on that Saturday. Raja was serving them along with other stewards."After serving this table, I learnt how to say sorry to the guests".

Wearing a nose ball, or placing a wig on your head and then approaching the guests… Pranks are aplenty in PREGO. "In this Italian Restaurant, every body is very friendly; it is fun dining. Many things to learn on Italian cuisine" says Raja.

"Kailas Chandra, the Laundry manager is very supportive; in the laundry department, all were very helpful. Bed making and placement of amenities were quite new things to me. While I was working in the Swimming Pool area, I knew how important it is to know the "timings" of different services offered to guests like Spa, Gym, and Swimming Pool… Presentation of food was a really eye opener for me, while I was working with the In Room Dining team. Talklines, Body Language, Eye Contact with the guests, appropriate greeting... Oho so much to learn" says Raja.

Raja lives in Delhi with his parents. Dad is an Electrician; Mom a homemaker.
