THE "LINEN" MAN OF WESTIN SOHNA

Today morning, Time is 8.20am.

In room no.102, I was having my breakfast hurriedly, because I had requested Sadashiv Yadav (28) to meet me in my room at 8.30am.

Somebody is knocking.....I was damn sure that it will be Sadashiv only....I got up from my chair and opened the door....yes, it is Sadashiv....and I am not surprised.

One of the reason to write a story in my blog on him was his punctuality and duty consciousness.

"Every day, I will reach the resort half an hour ahead. In the last seven years, not even once I have been late for work" asserts Sadashiv very proudly. Come September 20th, he will be completing seven years of service with The Westin Sohna Resort and Spa, Gurgaon.

BA graduate in Hindi Medium, he is a Tailor by profession. Undoubtedly, he is the LINEN MAN of this resort. He is in charge of the Uniforms. He recalls: "I do remember the uniform no.of most of the staff members".

"I will always reach on time much ahead of the shift time; so that I can plan the day's work peacefully. I will always ensure that the laundry given by the guests are sent to our Westin Gurgaon property exactly at 9am. That is, the vehicle that carries the laundry items should move from our resort exactly at 9am".

"Proactiveness is his yet another attribute. Washing-alteration to changing of the curtains, no one need remind him. So too, the table clothes or napkins used by the Banquets Department. His hawk-like-vigil is really incredible. Regarding Uniforms....oho! I have no words to express. He owns the uniform department. Ye bhaiyya tho Malik he...uniform department ka....

U.P born Sadashiv had worked in two other Five star hotels before joining Westin Sohna. Around three years. "

"This year April, I have been promoted as Senior Room Attendant. I am very happy nowadays".

Married to Anitha, he is blessed with two children. Himanshi (04) and Priyanshu (02). Karishma Kapoor is his most favourite heroine. He is also very fond of Lata Mangeshkar, the songbird of Hindi cinema.
