HEROES FROM NORTH EAST INDIA.......4

LIFE may be difficult ; but  ALBAN  IS SMILING

Life has not been an easy affair for Alban Roy Langdoh, 22yr old Meghalaya boy. Nevertheless, at Trident , Gurgaon,  this silent disciplined soldier at Saffron restaurant finds meaning for his life. He thoroughly enjoys his job. He talks very less but is focused on anything and everything that is related to  his work. Come October 15, he will be completing one year with Trident , Gurgaon.

"This is the best place for me" he thankfully replies on his association with Trident , Gurgaon. In nine months, he has been given the responsibility of a station holder.

Sheer providence brought Alban, a 12th passed boy from Shillong to New Delhi in Aug last year , where he got a job in a three star hotel.

"Life has been not that fair. The managers were changing every month, salary has not been paid on time" quips Alban, a determined person. "Three months I continued there and then I thought I will move on in life”.

He applied for a job in Trident, Gurgaon. Soon came the instructions to appear for an interview; Alban came, saw, and joined soon not knowing that this could a life transforming experience...
“ I do keep learning at every point".

This midfielder of local football team in Shillong, is very fond of guitar. He dreams that one day he will be a gifted guitarist, God willing. The six month craft course on F&B has been a great help for him to join the Trident, Gurgaon.

"North East people have a tendency to help each other. There is unity among these people. Each one is ready to help and support."

"I have no problem with the food as of now, yes, in the initial days at Delhi had some issues. But, weather is very different from Meghalaya. It is very hot here,  which is okay".

Listen to what Abhijit Ghosh (F&B Supervisor, Trident, Gurgaon) has to say on Alban Roy:
"He is very punctual and duty conscious, having a positive attitude to learn more things consistently. Fast learner indeed, which is why we have given him additional responsibilities in the Saffron restaurant".

The SAFFRON, the Indian restaurant, that serves North Indian and other regional specialities,is open for lunch and dinner. The unique selling proposition of this restaurant happens to be the live Indian music...mellifluous indeed.
