A TALE OF
TRANSFORMATION!
Flash back - September 2014
Ravi Babu Rajput (33) was deeply impacted by the workshop
on ‘Anger Management’ held in his hotel last September. He suddenly
felt peace within himself after attending the session. ……It was a revelation
for him.
After the workshop he left for his home in the evening. On his way, while he
was entering a temple, he observed two garland sellers quarrelling over
something small. He immediately remembered the words of the trainer.
He repeated the same words the trainer had used earlier in the day to pacify
him. He spoke to both of them lovingly and explained the futility of being
angry ……It worked like magic!
Back home he told his
wife about the positive impact of the workshop he attended… he also shared
the incident in the temple. She advised him to keep in touch with the trainer.
July 2015
Incidentally, the
same trainer came to his hotel to conduct training workshops again. This
time he came to train people on Service Excellence. Ravi made sure he met
the trainer and thanked him profusely for his transformation.
Read on…….
Ravi is the Kitchen
Stewarding Manager at his hotel.
When he met the
trainer he thanked him for the transformation he experienced in his life
because of the workshop he attended last year. Ravi’s anger has reduced since
then. He has started to speak lovingly with his co– workers. He has
developed his will power and has even shed 20 kg since September last. Like a
disciplined soldier he exercises on a daily basis. As a result of which
his waist size had shrunk from 38 to 32 inches. He has even started
walking 14 km every day (home to hotel and back home).
Said Ravi to the
trainer "I used to have 35 Pooris at one time in the cafeteria.
My boss and the Executive Chef
T.K.Chandra Kumar have been a silent witness to this".
But now all that is a
story of the past. He has also given up smoking and drinking. Not only this, he
has become more focussed and productive at work – very creative as well.
Sample this: In the recently held Annual Day function of the hotel, he got
dressed up as a woman and got the first prize in the dance competition!
When he met the trainer this time - he shared the story of his
transformation and expressed his deep gratitude. Today, he is glad that his
Kitchen Stewarding Team works like a well-oiled machine. He is more calm and
composed at work.
12th pass Ravi could not continue his studies because his father who was
working as a ward boy in a Udaipur hospital could not afford his further
studies. But Today Ravi is more optimistic. He is happily married to Tulsi, a homemaker and is blessed with
two daughters- Divyanshi (07) and Vedika (18 months).
Story ends here
May God bless Ravi
for his sense of gratitude and determination.
This is a real story ……We all have the power to change in
ourselves….. We just need to make that choice.
The trainer mentioned
in this story is also the author of this blog. The hotel is The Leela Palace, Udaipur.
I am grateful to God
for being able to help Ravi in a small way!
