FROM EASTIN, AHMEDABAD.....1

"EASTIN" IS SPREADING ITS WINGS IN INDIA!

In the first year of operations itself, bagging two awards is really commendable. Eastin Ahmedabad (hereafter EA) lapped up two awards. One: Award of Excellence 2014 given by Booking.com. This award is given to hotels annually, in honor of their achievements over the year as measured, by their overall Guest Review score. EA had achieved an overall review score of 8.3 out of 10 with reviews by guests from around the world.

Two: The best Pan Asian Restaurant Times Food Award 2015 sat softly on the shoulders of The Silk Road, the signature restaurant of this hotel.

156 Room EA is located on the main S.G.Highway road in Ahmedabad. The parent company, 'Absolute Hotel Services' is headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand .Eastin, Eastin Easy, Eastin Hotels & Residences, and U Hotels & Resorts are the four different brands.

U Tropicana at Alibaugh in Maharashtra was the first Eastin brand to enter India. That was in June 2013. EA was opened in May 2014.

"Eastin Easy in Kolkata and U hotel in Lonavla will be opened this year" says Gaurav Taneja (40) General Manager, EA, "also another U hotel will get ready in Bhutan. Next year, we expect three active openings in India- Eastin Easy in Goa, Darjeeling and thirdly at Talegaon, near Pune.

EA is owned by Mukesh Patel, who heads Siddhi Group that is mainly into real estates business.

"I will give full credit to our Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the growth of hotel industry in Ahmedabad. We are very bullish" informs Gaurav Taneja, an IHM Bhopal pass out, "the three day 'Vibrant Gujarat' and five day 'Plast India' hi decibel events, both held in Gandhinagar,  in January and February this year, ensured that all the hotels in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar were packed".

An articulate Gaurav Taneja assertively continued: "more Japanese auto companies are coming to Sanand (45 kms from here); Tata's Nano is already there; Maruti Suzuki will have a modernized plant, which will be bigger than the one in Manesar. Toyota is also on the cards... We are really optimistic on our future".

New Delhi born Gaurav Taneja is married to Shailly Taneja, a homemaker and is blessed with two daughters- Shivangi (15) and Jiya (08). His younger brother Saurabh is working as Sous Chef in The Oberoi New Delhi.
