READY TO SERVE

"We would love to eat on our way back to
London. Get some more packed” the guest from UK, an Indian NRI settled there
for many years requested. The guest found the "Kurkure Bhindi" so
appealing and tasty.

"You may please tell me the recipe"
the guest was really surprised, "this taste is very unique. I have been to
many a hotels, but this dish is the best". Cheese butter Masala" an
out of the menu dish had dazzled and delighted this Indian guest. This happened at
2.30am.

The long table had 14 guests. In flat fifteen
minutes, 44 Phulkas were served at this table. "This is the fastest
service we have ever seen in any five star hotel".
All these three
guest interactions had happened in Four
Points by Sheraton, Ahmedabad.
And the hero of all the three dramas happens to be Rajesh Singh (26) presently working as Demi Chef De Partie in this
hotel.
I met this humble Chef for the first time last Friday (13
Mar 2015), while I was staying in this hotel. He whipped up all the Gujarati
dishes for me for my dinner. He prepared elaborate Gujarati Thali for me. I wrote a review on Trip Advisor on his skills, and the delicious Thali!
IHM Punjab passed out Rajesh Singh, was born in
Jhunjhunwala district, Rajasthan. After passing out, he started his career with
Le Meridien Ahmedabad. For the last two years, he is with Four Points by
Sheraton, Ahmedabad. Importantly, after joining in June 2013, as Commis 2; he
pocketed his promotion in Oct 2014 as Commis 1. The next promotion followed in
March this year.
He is a talented mimicry artist; imitates as many as 15
Hindi film stars; guitarist as well as a tabla player. Searching/researching on
Indian recipes is his main hobby.
