FROM THE TAJ FALAKNUMA PALACE, HYDERABAD.........4

FANTASTIC FALAKNUMA

“Historically, Hyderabad has not been a favorite’s destination for a luxury traveler either Indian or International. By portraying Taj Falaknuma Palace (hereafter TFP) we have been successful in showcasing not only our hotel, but Hyderabad in particular, as a sought after destination" says Girish Sehgal, General Manager TFP.

I do agree. Agitations related to Telangana issue and Dilsukh Nagar bomb blast had created stonewalls for the hotel industry in Hyderabad. Nevertheless, against all odds, TFP proved its mettle.

"We had zero cancellations in Aug 2013(Dilsukh Nagar bomb blast happened this month)" quips Girish, adding that, "this year, we have improved the cash flow position; because of this hotel, the entire southern circuit has become more alive, especially Telangana as well as Andhra Pradesh".

Sample this: Nov 2014 has been a very  busy month agog with the hustle and bustle of the high profile guests. Nov 13 to 18: Three major hi decibel functions, back to back. One of the Top Business Magnets of Corporate India , paraded the most influential Indian corporate women. One of the most powerful French businessman Mr.Olliver cherrypicked  TFP to celebrate his 70th birthday. Royal family members from all over the world (Belgium, England, France, Italy and Portugal to name a few) landed soon after. Close on the heels, popped up the third function, being Bollywood star Salman Khan's sister's wedding ...oho...the Palace was packed with the celebrities, film stars, their families...

Now, case in point: for all the three functions, the entire Palace has been reserved by all the three groups. Impeccable service with astonishing accuracy and execution excellence- the staff members of this hotel have catapulted the image of the Taj group ......

Remember: Forty associates were beckoned from other Taj properties to co-ordinate the loose ends during the action packed six days mentioned above.

Under the leadership of Girish, who has been blessed with overseas exposure (has worked in Toronto, Bahamas, Boston, and Maldives) the team did a good job in serving the guests.
