FROM THE ITC GARDENIA,BENGALURU........4

PHOTOGRAPHER VEDAPRAKASH

"Everybody is thinking that he is the official photographer of this hotel" says Debika Banerjee, the Training Manager, ITC Gardenia Bengaluru with a chuckle.

I first met Vedaprakash, in the month of  September this year, when my Motivational workshops were orchestrated by this hotel for their staff members. Yes, as pointed out by Debikaji, he has been the official photographer. This time also this trainee shutterbug was there like a disciplined soldier clicking pics during my workshops and the group photo after my workshop gets wrapped up.

Vedaprakash, 19 yr old student of P.E.S.  University is a second year student. Presently, he is undergoing his industrial training  for six months in this hotel, while pursuing his studies-Bachelor in Hospitality and Event Management.

This is the first time I am writing a blog on an industrial trainee. This time, he has been attached to the learning services department. Though he has been to all the departments, as part of the program, he will be  beckoned always to take pics of the internal training programs and other Employee Engagement Initiatives.

He is an all rounder cricket player. When he was a plus one  student, he was part of the college cricket team; in the second year, he was the captain of the college cricket team. He is a brilliant carrom player also. In the Inter Collegiate carroms competition, he lapped up the Runner up position in the carroms doubles.

"One should  work honestly, he will be recognised; but, don't expect any rewards. Just keep on doing your work meticulously; one day, you will be rewarded. Be very genuine at work while dealing with coworkers as well as the guests. Complete the work given to you without much delay. Do not speak bad about your coworkers; that will pull yourself down" opines Vedaprakash.

He lives in Banasankari with his parents and elder brother, who also happens to be a student.
