75 STORIES IN 100 DAYS

                                       WESTIN   WARRIORS

Tomorrow, I will be completing 100 days, ever since I started publishing my stories in my blog. I am humbled to covey you that on the 100th day, I will be publishing my 75th blog story…that too on two star performers of Westin hotels, with whom I am very close.

I am thankful to God for giving me an opportunity to write on people working in the hospitality industry especially, the hotel employees. Ever since I started blogging, it has been a very fulfilling experience to me; very elevating, uplifting, rejuvenating...Perhaps the only of its kind…….in the Blog History…

Incidentally, the two Westin Warriors happened to be two General Managers, who have been recently promoted as Area General Managers with more hotels under their belts. One is Sanjay Sharma, The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi, Area General Manager; the other being Anuraag Bhatnagar the Area General Manager at The Westin, Mumbai.

The hotels under Sanjay Sharma are:
  • The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi
  •  The Westin Sohna  Resort & Spa, Gurgaon
  •  The Westin Chennai, Velachery
  •  Le Meridien, Kochi
  •  Le Meridien, Jaipur
  •  Four Points by Sheraton, Ahmedabad

While Anuraag Bhatnagar will have the following hotels added to his kitty:
  •  The Westin Mumbai Garden City
  •  The Westin Pune Koregoan Park
  •  Le Meridien Pune
  •  Le Meridien Mahableshwar
  •  Sheraton Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway
  •  Four Points by Sheraton, Bengaluru Whitefield and Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Business Park.

God's grace, I have excellent relationship with both these AGMs. I know Sanjay Sharma since 2005. It was Sanjay, who introduced me to Anuraag Bhatnagar, in the year 2007.

Both AGMs have many things common in them:

Ø  They are not blind to their own blindness; they are ready to accept feedback graciously and gracefully.
Ø  Very good in telling stories… That is their narrative intelligence is simply marvelous; in other words both are exceptionally articulate
Ø  They know that failure is not necessarily the enemy of success, as long as it is given its due
Ø  They are not slaves to their own biases
Ø  They can turn any crisis into opportunity
Ø  Both are very careful and vigilant not to chase fame and fortune, out of the way.
Ø  Both know how to 'fail well' and 'fail smart'.
Ø  They are not in danger of going backwards, service finessewise; very consistent in improving the service delivery levels.

No wonder, more hotels have been given to them. I do wish them Good Luck and Godspeed.
