EVER ATTENTIVE ASHISH

Meet Ashish Singh Bhadauriya. This 24 year old, Uttar Pradesh born, second year BSc student, is married to Soni and is blessed with a two year old daughter, Chavi. His father runs a small shop that sells crockery items in his native place Bidhuana, in UP. Mother is a homemaker.

In 2010 when he joined a private security agency, he never had thought that he will land up in a five star hotel. At that time, luckily, he has been deputed at the main door. The significance of the main door is this: The Layout of Trident Gurgaon is so unique. All the public areas are on the one side. The accommodation wing where the guests do stay is separate, the purpose being supreme privacy to the guest. So, open the main door, there is a courtyard, and then comes the accommodation wing, where the Spa as well as the swimming pool are also located.

Around three years, Ashish was at the main door. Whether he is greeting the guest with folded hands in utmost reverence at 7am in the morning, or 7pm in the evening, he will have the same energy, verve, vitality and the vigour. He is ever smiling; ever helpful; and importantly ever attentive.

At the end of last year, Ashish has been invited to join the Oberoi group. General Manager Nitesh Gandhi had all the plans ready for him; he has been promoted as Lifeguard with all the responsibilities of the pool area. His 15 day "Lifeguard Training" course fee has been promptly sponsored by the hotel. Thankfully, Ashish has been a swimmer since he was 12 years old.

"I could learn a lot about the duties and responsibilities of a lifeguard, in the 15 day training session. I am really thankful to the General Manager who had given me an opportunity, by sponsoring my participation" says Ashish.

Playing cricket is his main hobby. He speaks fluently in Hindi also he can understand everything that any guest conveys to him in English.

"I would not be able to speak very well in English, but I can understand everything", come 2016, Ashish would have completed his BSc final year. Yet another feather in his cap...what else...
