FROM THE TRIDENT,GURGAON

BRILLIANT BHARTI

"Chef Bharti Chauhan is our star performer; she is a great asset to the organization as she is a very good team player" says Nitesh Gandhi, General Manager, Trident Gurgaon.

Interestingly, The Trident Gurgaon is celebrating its tenth year presently. When Trident Gurgaon got opened in 2004, KONOMI, its Japanese restaurant was in the blue print stage. In 2007, the blue print became a reality.

KONOMI started accepting the guests....from the beginning, this restaurant has been the talk of the food lovers...no wonder, because that was the first Japanese Restaurant in Gurgaon.

Incidentally, Chef Bharti has been recruited for this restaurant only. At that time she had four years' experience under her belt, as a Japanese Chef. Under the guidance of Philippines born Master Chef Ramon, Bharti sharpened her skills in Japanese cuisine. When Chef Ramon decided to move on in his life, the mantle fell upon Chef Bharti... In September 2013, Chef Ramon left The Trident, Gurgaon and soon on 01 Oct 2013 Chef Bharti took charge as Japanese Chef of this restaurant.

Senior Kitchen Executive Chef Bharti is presently assisted by two taste warriors -Chef Sang and Chef Anand. (See the pic).

"KONOMI has been very popular right from inception.Business wise, presently we are doing very well. Guests can order Japanese food sitting in the Bar, or in the Cilantro, (the award winning all day dining restaurant serving International cuisine and   a la carte meals with options of fresco dining).

Even the guests can call In Room Dining and can enjoy the healthy Japanese food in their rooms itself.

KONOMI, the Japanese restaurant specialising in Sushi, Sushimi, Teriyaki and offers a fine selection of premium Sake and traditional Japanese teas.

"Spinach and Goame appetizer is the most sought after in our restaurant. Vegetarian dishes also are aplenty in Japanese cuisine" says Chef Bharti, married to Rupendra, Regional Sales Manager, in a Birla company. She is blessed with a son, Aarayaman(4 yrs old).

"All the ingredients and seafood items are imported from Japan" informs Chef Bharti.
