THEY ALSO SERVE.....................7

  COMPUTER SAVVY SONU

"God's grace, my son Aarav can speak and listen like my parents; my wife Antim can listen; can't speak ; If it is very close, I can listen through the right ear; but I can't speak" says Sonu Tyagi, 25 yr old Trainee in HR department in the Ambassador Hotel, New Delhi (Vivanta by TAJ).

He is on cloud nine as TAJ Ambassador had welcomed him to be part of the TAJ family by offering around 70 per cent more salary than what he was earning in his previous job.

"I learnt the sign language from him" jocularly says Satish Kumar, HR Executive, Ambassador, New Delhi. Who is constantly in touch with Sonu, guiding and mentoring him.

Sonu Tyagi had joined Taj one month back and he has picked up the skills very fast. Compiling the details on ESI, PF in Excel Sheets, checking attendance of the contract employees, typing out letters etc are his main responsibilities.

12th passed Sonu travels 17 Kms, on his bike, every day from his home to reach TAJ Ambassador.

"Sonu has the urge to learn; he close loops things fast, his computer skills are incredible; after finishing the work given, he will look forward for the next" informs Akshay Kapur, HR Manager.

"My knowledge in English and Hindi are very poor. But, I am very good at computer" a confident Sonu informs me. He has completed a six months computer training in MS.Office from Noida Deaf Society.

Sonu is glued to his office chair all the time. Completely focused at the job given to him.

"We have plans to employ some more differently abled people in our hotel in other departments" says Suman Gahlot, General Manager, Ambassador, New Delhi……
