ANGELS FROM NORTH EAST INDIA.......6

Resplendent  Rima

"I was not at all happy, when I have been asked to work in THE CHOWRINGHEE BAR that is in 2013. But, in seven months I could acquire the Bartending skills...now, I am very confident" says Nagaland born Assamese girl RIMA MONE BORAH (24), who is very fond of the Oberoi brand.

She is presently, a Bartender in THE OBEROI GRAND, Kolkata.

During her 2nd year, in IHM Guwahati, she got a chance to work in THE OBEROI CECIL, in Shimla.

"Right from first year" says Rima, "I had been dreaming on the Oberoi Brand. During the campus recruitment, I was so nervous and was not able to speak up during the group discussion. The then HR Manager, Pooja Grover instructed me to relax for some time, have some water, then speak up again.... This time, I spoke very confidently".

THE OBEROI GRAND General Manager George Kuruvilla is a very people passionate person. Having said that, as part of the employee engagement initiative, CHAMPIONS OF CHAMPIONS, an annual event where the Top 20 performers will be invited to have dinner with the General Manager.

Last year June, Rima got a chance to serve these high decibel performers. That day she told her friend, Assamese girl Pallavi :
" Pallavi, next year I will be one of the top 20 performers"- Believe it or not, Rima is one of the top 20 performers this year. Obviously, she is now eagerly waiting for the day to enjoy the dinner with GM as well as other top performers.

Rima's family lives in Nagaland. Her father is a Tech Manager in BSNL. Mom a homemaker. Elder sister is an MSc student.

Shopaholic Rima cooks very well at her hotel accommodation. Her roommate Meghali working in House Keeping Department is the occasional beneficiary.
